You know why you feel anxious?
Because you can’t control the future!
Summary
You’re worried you don’t have enough qualifications to break into a shrinking job market.
You’re afraid that a real career might slip away from you.
And you’re right about one thing: you can’t control the future.
It might be uncertain. It might even be worse than you expect.
But here’s the truth: you can prepare yourself for whatever comes.
How? By strengthening three things that no one can take away from you:
your self-awareness
your self-esteem
your Narrative Capital
With these, you become:
Resilient — ready to face change without breaking.
Resourceful — able to draw on your real strengths and talents.
Motivated — driven by goals that make sense for you, not just a degree title or job stereotype.
The world will keep shifting. Jobs will appear and disappear. But if you truly understand who you are and what you’re capable of, you’ll move through that uncertainty with less stress, more clarity, and stronger confidence.
That’s what building your Narrative Capital is about.
Today's Exercise
Write down an imaginary post, like a postcard, and date it five years from today, and describe how you’re feeling and what you’re doing throughout your day.
What will your day look like in five years?
It doesn’t have to be realistic.
You’re taking hold of your future. It’s up to you to dream up what it might be. You’ll realize that even just doing this silly little exercise will reframe in your mind who you can be and what the future is. Let it sink in. Take hold of what you belief your future will be.
That’s just a very small part of how rebuilding your Narrative Capital can change your perspective and even your life. Follow me to understand more.
